Quality Custom Distribution Welcomes New President, Ryan Hammer

QCD is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Hammer to Corporate Vice President and President, Quality Custom Distribution, effective July 10.  In this role, Ryan will be responsible for providing leadership to all aspects of QCD’s business, including all QCD distribution centers. Ryan will champion superior customer satisfaction and operational excellence objectives, as well as GSF financial and growth goals.  He will report to Bob Wolpert, Corporate Senior Vice President and President, Logistics Group, and will office in Irvine, California.

Ryan brings a wealth of experience to this role, having served in many relevant positions with PepsiCo across North America and most recently in Dallas, Texas for more than 15 years. Throughout his career, Ryan was able to gain a broad range of experience in both operations, sales, and people leadership. With operations, Ryan continued to take on greater responsibilities in multiple distribution center General Manager positions throughout the U.S. including Southern and Northern California, Las Vegas, and lastly Denver as one of the largest distribution and production centers for all of PepsiCo. In these roles, Ryan was responsible for providing leadership, vision, strategy, and structure along with total P&L ownership, which encompassed all cost management and topline sales for both retail and foodservice channels. More recently he had the opportunity to lead multiple large selling organizations focused on both retail and foodservice responsibilities overseeing all customer wiring, strategic planning, forecasting, and account development. During this time, he served as Vice President of Sales for the Mountain Region, and was responsible for $1.2 billion in revenue. Over this three-year period, Ryan and his team delivered the country’s best profit growth performance, employee satisfaction scores, and was also a key developer and exporter of talent for the broader North America business. Most recently, Ryan was Vice President of PepsiCo Mega Cities – North America, where he was the primary lead in developing the total PepsiCo urban markets growth strategy that focused on all mega cities where populations consisted of 5 million or greater. He was responsible for $7 billion in revenue, impacting 16 major cities across the U.S. and Canada geographies.
