This past June, Golden State Foods and Quality Custom Distribution attended SmartDrive’s inaugural Customer Conference in Dallas, Texas. Attendees from across the country and from a variety of job functions, including C-suite, safety, operations, legal, human resources, risk and compliance were in attendance.
In 2013, the companies began using SmartDrive, a video safety tool that allows fleets and drivers insight and analysis, and currently has more than 800 installed in GSF/QCD power units. The SmartDrive Customer Conference allowed customers to share valuable experiences with the tool through interactive presentations and dialogue. Peter Delgiorno, General Manager, QCD Dallas, and Brandon Kudrna, Operations Supervisor, GSF Phoenix, were both asked to present to an audience of nearly 100 customers from various industries.
At the conference, SmartDrive announced winners of its first ever customer awards program, which acknowledged specific achievements in the areas of safety and innovation. Golden State Foods was awarded the “Trailblazer Award” for being an innovator in the industry, and cutting a path for others to follow.
