Chick-fil-A Awards Top QCD Driver During Driver Appreciation Week

When Chick-fil-A launched a driver recognition program in conjunction with the American Trucking Association (ATA) Driver Appreciation Week from September 8-14, the quick service restaurant recognized Paolo Rivera of QCD Phoenix as the Chick-fil-A/QCD National Driver of the Year.

Based on driver service records, including timely deliveries, perfect product orders, years servicing Chick-fil-A and examples of excellent customer service and leadership, the inaugural award expresses Chick-fil-A’s gratitude and appreciation for QCD’s service to the beloved fast-food chain.

“This driver is the employee who has best displayed ‘Second-Mile Service’ to Chick-fil-A,” said Erik Bunte, QCD Account Manager for Chick-fil-A. “This means that he has not only completed his job to physically deliver to restaurants, but has gone the extra mile to display care and concern for the restaurants we service–whether that’s training and mentoring others or going off route to support another driver that may have broken down.”

In addition to recognizing the Chick-fil-A/QCD National Driver of the Year, Chick-fil-A leaders and operators showed further appreciation by flying out of the Chick-fil-A support center in Atlanta to serve lunches honoring over 500 drivers across seven QCD Distribution Centers.

“This is the inaugural year of the recognition program and is an example of our incredible partnership with Chick-fil-A and their appreciation for our drivers,” said Bunte. “We’re proud of our drivers and hope that this will become an annually-occurring recognition from Chick-fil-A.”

QCD has consistently been recognized with multiple customer and industry awards for on-time deliveries, perfect order delivery, customer service and has even received the Department of Transportation’s highest highway safety rating.
