February 14, 2020

Best in Class Awards were accepted by (from left to right) QCD President Ryan Hammer, QCD Los Angeles Regional Facility Manager Dan Miller, QCD Northwest Regional General Manager Eric Lard and Group Vice President, QCD West, Stephen Wetterau.

On February 12, during Golden State Food’s annual Global Leadership Conference, associates from across the GSF family of companies celebrated the company’s highest internal honors, including 2019 "Best in Class" awards for QCD Los Angeles and QCD Spokane. A total of four "Best in Class" awards recognize two outstanding distribution centers and two high-performing food processing facilities each year for their achievements in safety, customer service, employee satisfaction, efficiencies, profitability, and innovation.

"If QLA is the engine that services hundreds of Starbucks stores each night, then our culture is certainly the fuel that powers it and models our Creed and Values every day," said Dan Miller, Regional Facility Manager, QCD Los Angeles, which earned the “Best in Class” Platinum Award (large facility).

"The Spokane team continues to put our customers and associates first," said Eric Lard, QCD Northwest Regional General Manager, who accepted the “Best in Class” Diamond Award (small facility) on behalf of QCD Spokane and its past and present General Managers, Robert Mares and Charles Dimmick, respectively. "The number one reason we had a successful year is our associates' ability to adjust to the changing needs of our customers."
