QCD’s Shane Blanchette Honored with Heavy Duty Trucking Fleet Innovators Award

Heavy Duty Trucking (HDT) named its Truck Fleet Innovators for 2024, including QCD’s Shane Blanchette, Group Vice President, Operations. In a story published this week, the industry trade publication and website honors five fleet executives who are leading the industry in such areas as artificial intelligence, zero-emission vehicles, information technology, driver retention, efficiency, maintenance, trailer spec’ing, safety and more. 

“HDT’s Truck Fleet Innovators are executives from heavy-duty trucking fleets, chosen for specific innovations and for fostering an overall culture that encourages innovative thinking,” writes Heavy Duty Trucking Editor Deborah Lockridge. “Blanchette about three years ago embarked on a project to implement battery-electric trucks in its California operations and has worked to make drivers’ jobs easier through multiple initiatives.” 

In addition to the online and print story in the May/June issue of Heavy Duty Trucking, Shane and the other honorees will be guests at the Heavy Duty Trucking Exchange event in Scottsdale, Arizona in September.  HDT will recognize the 2024 Truck Fleet Innovators during an awards ceremony, and the editors will moderate a panel discussion with the Innovators exploring their successes, challenges, and the importance of innovation.
