Food Logistics Honors Xavier Alcala with Rock Stars of the Supply Chain Award
Announced today, Xavier Alcala, Director, Business Solutions for Quality Custom Distribution, earned the 2024 Rock Stars of the Supply Chain Award from Food Logistics, the only publication exclusively dedicated to covering the movement of products through the global cold food supply chain. Among the influential individuals honored this year, Xavier received recognition in the Rising Stars category for his achievements, hard work, and vision that have helped shape the global cold food supply chain.
"Supply chain rock stars are the backbone of the cold food chain. The words used to describe many of this year’s winners range from collaborative, passionate, innovative and forward-thinking to inspired, driven and dependable," says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “New this year, we broke the award down into four distinct categories: Top Warehousing Stars; Top Shippers; Rising Stars; and Lifetime Achievement. These winners continue to go above and beyond to improve food safety, enhance efficiency and disrupt supply chain disruptions.”
In 2023, Xavier made strides to advance the cold food supply chain, including leading QCD’s award-winning Digital Route Transformations initiative, which streamlined and optimized QCD’s transformation tools and placed a major emphasis on improving frontline driver experience and reducing application usage fatigue. In partnering with QCD’s corporate IT team, Xavier played a key role in this initiative earning a Customer Innovation Platinum Award in the Integration Excellence category this year from its vendor partner, Boomi, an intelligent connectivity and automation leader.
