QCD Career Story: Preeti Gopalan

Preeti Gopalan supports QCD’s people priorities as Human Resources Supervisor at QCD Charlotte, North Carolina, marking nearly eight years of growth shaped by adaptability, continuous learning, and purpose. Her journey with the company began in June 2018, after relocating with her family from India. Through a temporary assignment supporting an audit, Preeti's initial QCD experience brought her into an environment brimming with collaboration and encouragement.

“I was fortunate to begin my career at QCD surrounded by a truly wonderful group of coworkers who made me feel welcomed and supported from day one,” shared Preeti. That early sense of belonging laid the foundation for long-term engagement.

Preeti’s contributions quickly gained distinction through flexibility and ownership. A move into purchasing broadened her operational insight, and a subsequent transition into HR deepened impact on associates and teams. As scope and accountability increased, advancement followed, first as a senior HR representative, then as an HR generalist, and now in a leadership role. Ongoing learning opportunities and recognition reinforced her decision to explore her future at QCD.

“QCD has consistently offered chances to grow, along with meaningful appreciation and timely promotions.” Just as impactful, the organization’s Creed and Values and culture of teamwork reinforced her purpose.

Mentorship shaped critical stages of her advancement. Collaboration with Charley Huggett, Senior Director, Field Human Resources and Labor Relations, and Casey Araujo, Regional Human Resources Manager, QCD East, refined her leadership approach, strategic thinking, and people-first mindset.


Workplace culture continues to drive Preeti’s motivation. An inclusive environment, combined with a strong commitment to service, resonates deeply with her values.

“One of the most fulfilling aspects of my role is attending and championing GSF Foundation events and being part of QCD’s broader commitment to giving back to the community,” said Preeti.

Looking ahead, Preeti plans to expand her leadership impact, guide emerging talent, and support initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement, and community connection. Her advice reflects her own path: “Always have the drive to learn, adapt to change, and approach your work with discipline and passion.”
