Women in the Warehouse: Michon Scott

Michon Scott, a four-year QCD Washington, D.C. associate, serves in the role of warehouse supervisor, helping keep daily operations in motion to successfully support Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) customer stores through teamwork and shared goals. Collaborating with warehouse selectors, loaders, and receivers, her responsibilities include communicating about warehouse production and staffing, conducting team safety meetings, updating daily operations reports, completing order audits, problem solving when challenges arise, and resolving any concerns that impact customer service delivery.
“What I enjoy most about my job is the fact that we get things done,” says Michon. “Teamwork works every time. I love seeing how much we strive to accomplish day in and day out. I enjoy working with my team in the warehouse ‘all hands on deck’ and how we come together with the same agenda in mind.”
In her current role, Michon strives to continue building her warehouse management experience and appreciates QCD’s encouragement of her career aspirations. She intends to grow her knowledge of the logistics business through cross-training and gaining more experience throughout the company’s operations, while proving her continued value and dedication to her team and to supporting QCD customers.
“The advice that I would give to any woman is to keep making strides in what your heart tells you to do,” says Michon. “You’ll never know unless your try. There’s room for a woman to grow in this industry. I would also add to applaud yourselves for the efforts made because together we make things work!”
